In this same time, far to the west, a van scooteth across the great prairie, turning up much dust behind it, until it did come to stop in a canyon.
Lo, the van bore a sign and upon that sign was a name and the name was Scrap-It-All Drilling Co.
And the driver of the van was called Gus and Gus did get out of the van, as did another, whose name was Fleck.
Upon that time when Gus and Fleck did get out of that van, they looketh to the east, and, behold, they seeth another cloud of dust moving toward them.
And there appeared unto them, as if an image from television, a horsey-kind bearing a rider who weareth upon his head a great hat.
 Shots rang out.
And it came to pass very, very quickly that bullets did strike the van, yea, verily did a pain strike Fleck in his teeth, the pain having ridden upon a bullet like the rider on his horse.
Gus did leap back into the van and searcheth for a gun to answer with, then he leaveth the van again.
